Managed to get the sump off, finally! The shells havent bloody arrived yet though, gutted. Anyway, I will obiously need to prime the pump before firing it up. Whats the best way for a TS? Vaseline in pump? Plugs out and crank over?
Personally I think don't use the Vaseline. Leave the plugs out and crank for 30 seconds or so. If you can prove the pressure switch is registering a positive pressure before you refit the plugs all the better!!
Thats what a mate has told me too, and he rebuilds engines but was interested to see what others do as I cant find many posts about it on here. Hopefully it'll help others doing a bottom end rebuild too.
