OK, not Alfa related, but..... took my Xantia workhorse into a "specialist" to get the suspension spheres changed. Got it back, thought the ride was OK but not as smooth as I remembered, and there was a strange interaction between the brakes and rear suspension. Thinking the new spheres had exposed a weakness in the hydraulic pump, I did a quick bit of internet trawling, and came across a thread I remembered about not overfilling the hydraulic reservoir; it hydraulically locks the venting pipe and causes air to get trapped.

Looked at bill; I was charged for half litre of LHM fluid. Looked at level indicator; way too full. Drained about half litre of LHM fluid out. Level indicator spot on. Went for a drive; nice and smooth. To be a Citroen specialist implies you understand Citroen hydrulics. What kind of a "specialist" can't even top the fluid up properly? :rant: :rant:
