Being a bit tight, I never like to spend more than £1 on a pack of four soaps.

My usual purchase, Pearl, was not on the shelf, so I opted for Shield at 89p.

Just popped one on the bathroom sink and the scent instantly took me back to my Father's house.....he always had Shield in the house, and as he was always working on cars, thus washing his hands regularly, he always smelt of Shield :D

The smell of freshly baked bread always evokes memories of cold winter evenings when we had 'hot cakes' as my Mum called them to eat with our meal :)

The smell of the sea is beautiful and reminds me of surfing many years ago (although I tasted lots of water).

I can't remember the last time I used soap. In fact, I can't remember the last time I saw soap!

Waiting for the inevitable...

Bees wax polish reminde me of my maternal grandmother who cleaned and polished the shelves at the local library.

Marzipan and sugar icing reminds me of my paternal grandfather who was a baker who spent his Sunday mornings making and icing wedding cakes.
