I don't know if this is the same on all alfas or newish cars, but when i give my 147 full beans and change gear around 6000 - 6500rpm it seems to hold some revs as if the fly wheels too heavy and won't let the engine die back quick enough:rant: . Its really frustrating as it makes you cange gear slowly or look like a pillick as the revs are too high when the clutch disengages. Don't get me wrong, i love driving the car and don't thrash it, but its nice to show off the engine on the odd occasion:confused:.

any help or a solution would be happily recieved, but i can live with it:) .

It's getting more common on new cars, it's the throttle damper!!

Blame people that cant change gear properly for the over zealous damping on lifting off. The worst are BMW's and VW's which appear to hang forever, and newer Ford's aren't too clever either.

My 156 isnt bad, but it is worse than my old 155 which had practically no damping.

I wonder if Alfa would consider a software fix for those of us that hate excessively damped throttle's?????

Woohoo, post number 400!!!!! :D :D
