Have a 146ti, at speeds of 30-40mph and at dead on 60mph I can hear a slight grinding noise coming from somewhere. It's hard to tell exactly where it is coming from but I believe that it is definitley from one of the wheels.

It only occurs at the above speeds and does not matter if the car is in gear or not making the same noise when freewheeling.

I did suspect maybe the wheel bearings may be worn as it is that sort of noise, but its no worse or better on corners. Any ideas what it could be? Axle bearing? It seems to have gotten louder over the last couple of weeks, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

If its bad enough to grind rather than hum then you should be able to hear which one is gone by jacking up the car and spinning the wheels by hand.

My font left bearing on the TI is humming and I can hear it when I jack it up and spin the wheel - sounds/feels rough.
