Hi,
Does anyone know of a silicon hose kit replacement for the air intake pipework? I had a remap yesterday and noticed a "fishhhh" sound on boost - when I examined the pipe work the main section from turbo across to intercooler was swelling under boost and had rubbed against the bottom earth fastening on engine - causing it to leak.

The pipe feels really soft, and I remember hearing a faint noise pre - remap so it must have been happening for a while and eventually let go when the boost was changed.

I've tried searching but cannot find any kits?

Is it a case of "making your own" using the sections available - if so anyone made one?

gsr could make you a set, I think someone had made up alloy pipe replacements, which would be a more solid route to go.

OK, I made up a replacement using 2 x 135 degree elbows (also known as 45 degree elbows on some sites!) and a 12" metal pipe.

Original damaged hose:

New silicon hose assembly:

Complete with prices etc.
You do not get the pipe expansion under boost when using the silicon hose. I am sure there are better ways of doing this, but this is how I did it.:)
