Hi help please -:confused:I bought my 159 2.4 JTDm 6 months ago. 57 plate.
It has 70 k on the clock. Recently it's starting juddering at very low revs pulling away gently.
This cleared if I put my foot down. As it's an semi auto box I can't dip the clutch as on a manual. It feels like a misfiring spark plug .

I have been back to the garage I bought it from (Mazda and Subaru) specialist and they re set the diagnosis.

It's now picking up an alarming shuddering at cruise . 70mph at 6th gear and the car judders and won't accelerate. Turbo needle seems to be bouncing up and down.
I dropped I to 5th and the same applied , 4th and hard foot down and it cleared.

It's now becoming a regular event - I have read various peoples views.
Use better diesal , use an additive, Epg block off .

I have been back to the garage 5x with this car in 6 months - I still have 6 months full warranty left but feel reluctant not going to an alfa garage .

Any help would be appreciated. I have lost confidence in the effectiveness of overtaking if the car is going to die and lose power without notice ...

The ones to look at would be the EGR, the MAF, and clean the map sensor.
Try disconnecting the MAF, see if that helps, then try blanking the EGR ( bit of the side of a coke can short term, then clean the map.
Could also be a clogged manifold or dodgy injectors

Take it back to the dealer until they resolve the situation...either under warranty or personally...

To me, it sounds a lot like an iffy turbo, or variable vane valve, based on the boost gauge flickering a lot...

could also be a boost leak somewhere...is the loss in pressure sudden?

First port of call is clean the maf.
Second is the egr valve. Symptoms sound very similar to what I've had recently.
My egr was leaking and the inlet manifold was caked up too which probably wasn't helping either!!!
Third would be the map sensor. It's probably gummed up. Whip it out and clean it up.
Have fun :)
