... on the autoroute.

Dunno what happened.

Had to change the wheel on a tiny, tiny hard shoulder.

What a bleedin' nightmare !!!

A Merc pulled up behind me and
had to do the same. How weird is that!?

Not only did I miss out on a Grenoble-Nice personal
best time, but now I've been told no Bridgestone Potenza
available until after christmas.

So not only did I have to limp home at 80kph,
I have to drive like that over christmas.

:( :( :(

Quoted Price so far:

355 EUROS

(For 1 tyre !!!!!)

Tell me about it, just had to have two fitted to the front of mine after a mere 15,000 miles. Had to have Pirellis as that was about the best they could get. I was after the Dunlop SP Max but apparently they don't make them anymore as they have to be 'full load' tyres on the 159.
Total bill was £300 after my 10% discount

Not too sure what I think of the Pirellis, they stick like glue but the steering feels extremely light.

Very sorry to read that Nev :(

Thank goodness it didn't cause a crash.
Cheers BF,

Handled quite well for a car with duff rear tyre.

Sounds scary!
I hit a pothole today and I thought the wheel had been ripped off, the loudest bang I have heard. Scared the pants off me.

I was then really angry as the small fortune I pay in road tax seems to have been spent on something else.
New carpet in No's 10/11?

Was there damaged road or debris if it got two of you?

Really don't know what happened.
The top(tread) part of the tyre detached
from the sidewall in two places.
Couldn't see any other (puncture) damage.

I'm just gonna replace the 1 rear. (only done 10K km)

Thinking about changing the alloys in
the new year and getting a set of winters
on these. (They're all scuffed except 1 frontone.)

Nev, does the Brera have a proper spare wheel or a space-saver?

Skinny spare (Small thanks for that at least.)
The experience has put me off gunk spray for life. ;)

The comments I'm getting at the moment is the car
looks "Wounded" & "Like a lame dog." :( :( :( :(
