I have ordered the weichers one. Had it on my last 2 alfas.. great brace.

Its very light,

I've always wondered about the hinge bits though, surely there must be some 'play' in it?

Yes a considerable amount. Not sure how much but probably a kilo.

The rigidity depends on how tight you do up the hinge bolts. When I had mine on the right place, I wound the hinge bolts up with an impact wrench. I doubt they'll be moving now.

Going from no strut brace to a weichers was enough for me, stopped the car fidgeting in fast corners.

Most of us are in agreement that a front strut brace is a worthwhile and cost effective mod. However, I haven't seen a lot about rear struts. So my question is how many people have them fitted? And which one do people recommend (147 & 156)?

I have a rear one fitted from OMP. Bought it from AYAT. Matches my front one.
