I've owned an Alfa 155 Silverstone for a year now. The most recent drama is the balljoint, and maybe the steering box and column, will know for sure tomorrow. I MOT'd the car in may, at a cost of over £1000. Should I just cut my losses and sell it on to someone else?
Work done to date: Replace dashboard display (£50 from ebay)
New battery (£69 from halfords)
New speedo transducer (£40 from Alfa)
New tyre (£50)
New bonnet release cable (£90 from Alfa)
MOT: Rear discs and pads
New handbrake cables (both)
New o/s/f Strut
New brake pipes
New caliper
Front brakes stripped and dressed, brake inbalance
Emmissions treatments, as failed twice
Total cost of MOT, £1049, thats alfa price! £510 for labour, £540 for parts.
All this and I've had to tax the thing too!
What do you all think, anyone wanna buy my car?
