The Isle of man should invade the UK. It would be a better place to live if we had their laws.

I'm with you on this one

Its a great island, plenty to see and lots of quaint places to visit. And the roads.............great driving, although its not always on the smoothest of tarmac. And passing signs highlighting (high) fatality numbers can be a little disconcerting

However the government are trying to cap the speed limits :tut: , but I think the locals are managing to stop it for now as the island might just lose some of its real appeal :)

No !

If we invaded tax would rise, speed limits would be imposed, alcohol would be more expensive and the casinos would be regulated.

NO!

English government would bring speed limit down to 50mph like they are doing on all the good roads here.

Also they would cancel the TT due to health and saftey.

NO! - for all the reasons quoted above - and since Clarkson has a place there, he should become an MHK (Their version of an MP) and become their Prime Minister.....:)

Its a brilliant island to go rallying on...and i wouldn't mind living there eother......

I have to disagree, the place has so much charm and character that if there was a lower blanket speed limit, it'd lose about 0.05% of it's appeal. There are so many good roads there to enjoy at under 50mph, it really wouldn't matter. IMO of course :p

IOM is to small for me. drive round it twice..then what do you do?

I confess the only time i've even seen the IOM was from about 3000 ft on the Cumbrian coast at Cark Airfield (Near Holker Hall)..sitting under my parachute drifting down to earth..Its a lovely view as the sun is going down in the west, in fact its a stunning breathtaking view.

I'd quite like to sail there and watch the TT..but i doubt i will ever get to.
