The original Gear Lever Gaitor was looking decidedly Manky on my Bella, it had started to go pink :tut: in the creases for some reason and had started to wear through. Surprising at less than 15,000 miles.

Thought I would splash out on a replacement, dead easy to do, took 20 mins. And now the stitching matches my interior:cool:

Before and after pics below

they have one for a 159 too

how hard are they to fit:confused:

Dead Easy to fit mate.

Undo the popper and velcro

grasp the surround (nearest the handbrake end) between thumb and forefingers and a sharp upward tug detaches it.

Disconnect two plugs for hazards and switches, and then pull gaitor and surround over top of knob

retire to the sofa with a small flat blade screwdriver, pop off the plastic retaining ring and remove old gaitor.

and then reverse the process, it really is easy

cheers

Thank you

Am I reading this wrong maybe? It looks like they want euro 17.50 for shipping and euro 5 for paying by credit card :wow: To ship from the UK to Germany would cost about euro 3 :tut:
What - can you confirm that MC:confused::eek:

Hi, love the look of this, but as you say the P&P is almost as much as the product, if any others are interested in a multibuy, I could be interested, otherwise, has anyone on here tried these, a little more reasonable, you get the leather gearstick and handbrake gaiter too, though my question is obviously about the quality:

Just fitted my gear and handbrake gaiter, one from top gaiters on e-bay (link in my earlier message), overall very good quality, fine leather grain. My only complaint would be the 'buckle' on the top of the gear gaiter is a little loose, but doubt anyone else would ever notice.
In terms of the job, I did manage to crack the silver surround of the gear gaiter (there is a black plastic surround underneath). It may have been damaged before, as I certainly didn't think I had even touched it.

The handbrake gaiter is very easy to remove too, undo the button, then where the gaiter joins the console, push the sides in a little and pull up slightly to undo the clips, then push the top down slightly for the clip there and pull up. There is a long clip/ slot on the bottom, so trying to pull it from there first will probably break it, but comes out easily when the others are done.
