£699 inc vat is about right for the work he has had done. He has'nt been stitched up like a kipper at all. I take it all you guy's work for free???? 4.5 hours labour is more than fair for what he has had done and the costs of the parts is spot on.

And before I get a flaming this job has nothing to do with us either I just feel it's unfair towards the motortrade that people expect us to work for free!

The type of washer Pud described are called Dowty washers. There are lots of sizes available at around 30 to 50p each.

I know exactly what they are but a bag of them doe'nt cost £1 was the point I was making. I wanted a link from the OP to a full bag of 18mm dowty washers for a £1. :thumbs:
