Did the 36k service and was pondering how to switch off the spanner service lamp. Well, after about 450 miles, it went out on it's own. Seems to be staying off.

Ah, ok. Not too bothered about that as I note the mileage.

Yep, but that means buying Fiatecuscan and I haven't got a Windows laptop.

Just quite please the lamp went out without having to go to a dealer

Interesting that its turned off after a certain distance, but it might come back every 1000 miles as the car knows its not had a service.

The ECU logs when the services are done and there is a counter as well so in the future if you came to sell it the service frequency can be checked using dealer level software or MultiECUscan. Although the counter only goes to 9 so the counter will only for for the first 8 services anyway.
