+1to be on the safe side, generally everyone recommends cambelts are 5yrs or 60,000 miles, whichever the sooner.....alfa still recommend 6 yrs.
4 yrs is too soon & probably started by garages trying to encourage more work!?
Your other option is to look at a £3k example, then put the same into it again, to make it want you want. Thanks for the advice everyone.
Not really set a budget, was thinking somewhere around £5-6k?
I think you might be right. Might look at £3-4K with some money for maintenanceI am 3 months into my GTV V6 ownership. I use everyday to commute(6 gears are good for MPG) Few minor issues all centered around 17 year old electrics(car has had belt change, and had generally good service history with good body work...Paid £2600) Had to change Lambda sensors and i think it could do with a few new coil packs. I think you need to set a purchase budget, then an ongoing maintainance budget
This one is in Milton Keynes:-I think you might be right. Might look at £3-4K with some money for maintenance
Where in Wilts are you?Hi there, how is the search going?
I to am complimenting a GTV purchase, though have not yet gone to see any. There doesn't seem to be any within reasonable distance to me.
Have you seen any of the cars posted above? They seem to look like good examples of GTVs. I am not sure what the average condition of the GTV is but I would like to think I would find the right one easily enough when it comes up.
