Hi,

Due to a new baby, i'm gutted to have to say I am leaving Alfa for a while to get a more sensible family car. I am trying to sale my Mito but as yet very little interest. Its low mileage at 7200 and has the multi air engine 135. Im just wondering if anyone knows if any dealers are looking for stock I could ring or any suggestions about how I can sale my car quicker, as I need a quick sale!!

Thanks in advance

No help on the dealer side.

You could replace it with a facelift 156 SW ;)

My dealer fishbrothers is apparantely not buying stock anymore as they are getting rid of Alfa Romeo brand altogether which I found surprising. I thought about 156 and 159 SW but i'm afraid the wife isnt a fan of estates and wants to come away from alfa so i lost that battle.

Keep the baby, lose the wife. Get a Sportwagon.

What al said......

And anyway why does she get to choose. Is it your car? If yes then you can get whatever the hell you want. Although I don't see how having a mito is that bad with kid?. If it is her car then let her get whatever boring eurobox she wants (which will turn out to be just as unreliable and useless anyway) and buy yourself a cheap toy like a gtv or 145 and make a track car.

Not likely to be a high valuation but could always try webuyanycar , apparently offer OK money on newer stock in the small car sector. Seems to be on the money.

I have contacted my most local dealer and they have informed me they are no longer buying stock. The car dealer where I have seen a car i'd like to buy has sent out a trade to trade email which as I understand it goes to loads of dealers to see if any are interested in buying my car. But as yet no great offers compared to what I should get private. but if you know of any or if anyone does please let me know and I can contact them.

 I was chatting to a mate the other day who had trouble selling his car. He ended up going to a dealer that we know who put it in his showroom. If he was to sell the car trade it was worth about £5K, but the dealer sold it and gave him £6.5K.

wish i knew some dealers that would be interested
Try ringing round a few, alot of them will do this if they have a spot free on the forecourt. No outlay for them, a bit of variety in the stock and its a high enough price that if they sell it on terms they will make a tidy profit on it.

Only drawback is you will have to leave the car there, so only any good if you have another car to get about in.

My sister managed to run around with 2 kids in her Renoort Megane coupe... The 3 door job is actually easier for access to kiddie seats etc. since they're so big (assuming you have space to open them).

I think you're too hasty to assume that you need something bigger or more sensible. In the old days a Ford Escort was the most popular family car in the UK... and MiTo is miles bigger than one of those..
