I have a 156 2.0 Selespeed, pretty sure the selespeed pump is u/s, query is can you replace the pump without the need for a trip to the dealers to bleed / re-calibrate the system ? and if so has anybody managed it ?

Hello John, David C is the expert on these bits of machinery, hope you get it fixed.Pretty sure DaviC said it did require the Examiner being used, but not totally sure.

No you need examiner - you cant even release the pressure without it, or bleed it afterwards.

And you probably will need a calibration too.

You can just replace the pump.
I did mine outside my house in London although I got it bled & re-calibrated when I was in Lincoln soon after.

If the pump isn't working there won't be any pressure in the system anyway.
But be carefull when releasing the pipe on the high pressure side of the pump.
