hi i have a 2004 156 veloce selespeed 2 litre auto can anyone out there tell me how you check the automatic transmition oil level and top it up if its low

the reservoir is on the same saide as the battery. it should only be checked first thing in the morning when cold & only after the pump has finished priming itself after you open the drivers door. The fluid is Yellow in colour, the name should be on a sticker under the bonnet Tutela SC? the system hold 600mL total. just above the circular plate is the max, which can be confirmed form the dip-stick thats in the cover.

That is for the Selespeed hydraulic system.

For the gearbox oil itself you check like a normal manual box (which is what it is, it isn't an "automatic").
The fill plug is on the front of the box next to the reversing light switch.
