Has anyone on here changed the seats on their GTV. Don't know if any of the Alfa range will fit. I am looking for more lumbar support than the standard seat gives.

If it's just lumbar support you want, you can shape the seat back foam pretty easily.
Alternatively, people have fitted sparco seats.

I measured the GTV once for GT/147 seats and they don't fit. The GTV is very narrow and has a unique tilt adjuster which means no seats will fit from the rest of the alfa range.

I asked this before but no response: if you fit aftermarket ie sparco, what do you do with the electrics that fasten to the seats for airbag, srs and engine cutout?

GTV electric seats are a good option. More support all round IMO.

Other seats that can be made to fit are Sparco Milano, Porsche 911 seats (why would you?), Recaro Speed (same as Alfaholics GTV seats).

Or lowering the seats might make them 'feel' different (remove the spacers).

No GTV seats to my knowledge have side airbags. The only electrical connection then is the seatbelt buckle connector. You would swap the buckle over to the new seat. If you are going to harnesses then you would presumabley ground the switch so the ECU thinks the seatbelt is always connected.

There is a steel tube connected to the seat frame that has low voltage electrcal connection. It has some weird connection to throttle (engine cutout?) specialists often advise hard wiring this if you are getting throttle problems. I think someone also mentioned it controlled the srs pre tensioner thing ?
