Just to anyone with a scorpion decat fitted. After a few days it has a nasty low down rasp which is loud and annoying. Just wondering if it may settle down otherwise it will have to come off. The wizard exhaust prib doesnt help, in full throttle higher speed it sounds nice, but driving off from standstill it scares people and sounds more like something is wrong with the car. Any views from owners with unsilenced decat appreciated. Ayat

Mine still does it after 6 mths. Mainly when cold and only at certain revs in 1st gear. Personally I kinda like it..

The way you're describing the noise is what I experience. Different set up tho. Gtv's, dans eq lengths, autodelta cat bk. I get a horrible raspiness At low rpm. Sounds good up top tho. From what I've red it's because there's too much stainless steel in there. Mild steel absorbs the raspiness/tinnyness which I'm looking for. Does anybody think if I somehow rapped the equal lengths in heatproof material this may take the raspiness away a bit??? Im not sure. I'm going for a mild steel cat bk system.

I can't really understand people modifying Alfa exhaust systems. The factory fit stuff always seems perfectly good to me and I find it off-putting if someone has hacked an exhaust on a car I'm otherwise interested in buying.
