But, a very, very attractive young blonde lady drove past me this morning in the Sparkbrook area of Birmingham, oh, and she was in a red MiTo!

Managed to catch a wave and a flash off a NEW White MiTo yesterday, here in Swansea, around by the Guildhall, first 61 plate I have seen on the road too. Anybody on here I wonder.........

I remember I used to get excited by the thought of "new plate day" but since the dealers start putting banners up about 3 months prior to it I have stopped looking.
It usually comes as complete surprise when I see one.

We took delivery of a 61 plate Ford Focus estate yesterday, so we know they are out! Sorry not an Alfa though - they don't have anything in the range that would suit the family car needs.

I saw my first 61 plate on wednesday night at approx 21:00 nr Grantham on the A1... Merc C class.... and it confused me as the plate wassnt out until thursday..... so I surmised it was being delivered on trade plates (which I didnt see)

My 'first' 61 was a new 3 door RR Evoke which I parked next to yesterday. It left me distinctly underwhelmed.

Very cool! Still love those E30 Tourings.

Have to say the Focus is quite nice though, peppy 1.6 turbo and drives really well. Pity Alfa don't do something between the G and 159 wagon - latter is just too big for what she wanted and the dog wouldn't fit in the back of the G.

Yeah I know what you mean, a G-Wagon if they made one would have suited.
