Hello All,

With a lot of help from an expert, I've gone through the painful process of retro-fitting a Satnav to my 166 fl.

One thing I'm not sure about though - does anyone know if the G3 unit uses speed pulse at all? If so, whereabout does the wire plug into the vehicle?

Have tested the satnav properly yet, as I've been busy fitting everything, but it all appears okay, so it may not actually need the speed pulse.

But I'm sure there are fellow Alfistis who have been through this exercise before and know the answer!

Thanks in advance,

Bill

If the sat nav is the standard alfa g3 one and you have used a loom from an alfa 166 then you have all you need.

Hi Paul,

G3 is standard, but the wiring loom I got appears to be from an older pre facelift car, methinks as the connector plugs for the ICS are different. So we had to strip out the wires that were just for satnav and retro fit to existing loom - problem is we have one spare wire! My learned friend thinks it could be speed pulse, but if it is we ain't sure where it's got to go?

A long drive tomoz will hopefully confirm its not!

Cheers
