If you're in the market for a Red Spider, then it has to be in Alfa Red or Rosso Corsa (if its having re-paint). To be spending £4k, buyers will want that originality and not a matt finish.. Real shame, as lots of good stuff in the Ad and the chrome hopes are a nice touch!

I know this has been sitting on eBay for a long time now!

At this price there are more original cars available and push on a bit more and you could find a V6.

There was a butchered red Spider on the local gumtree site in SA. It had been fitted with a VW 1.8 carb fed motor from a Mk.3 Golf. They'd also attached a Mk.3 Golf front bumper and cut the bonnet to make the headlights rectangular. It was a real mess. From what I can recall it was on the site for ages with no interest.

I just don't like matt finishes on cars, I like shinney cars where you can see all the work you've done after polishing it.:biglaugh::cheese:

I'm with alfapash on matte finishes.

All those hours staring at zebra lines on 3D models, in the quest for consistent surfaces and perfect light lines. Then someone paints the bloody thing in a matte finish.

Reminds me of the Wheeler Dealers, Fiat Panda 4x4, that was basically emulsioned in that Matt Green paint.

Probably bit harsh of a comparison, but you can't beat shiny paint work.

Did see a £50k M3 V8 in Matt black... Yuk!!
