There was a time when talented people, using their wit and intellect, could entertain and amuse an audience .

Two current examples that spring to mind are Ian Hislop and Paul Merton.

So why are these two idiots (link below) considered to have any talent.... They certainly have never entertained me.... and now they have carried out what could at best be considered a stupid childish prank that has gone sadly wrong.

It just goes to show, the more you pay these idiots, the more they think they can get away with. This "faux pas" definitely wasn't in the realms of childish prank, it was crass, disgusting and obscene.
Yes, I agree alfaGJ, Merton and Hislop are genuine, talented men, and only need to use their wits and natural humour to entertain.

Two complete tools IMO.

I'm especially disappointed with Jonathan Woss. Clearly extremely able and, speech impediment aside, articulate. Despite this his trade mark has always been a salacious creepiness that makes my skin crawl.

Brand is just a brat.

Absolutley superb description of Jonathon Wuss.
This sums up his whole act, and makes a complete mockery of our so called "celebrity" standings.

Good on them for making a few people laugh. Yeh, ok, it went on for a bit longer than it should have, but an apology has been made and that should be an end to it.
The way people are going on about this as if he did actually kill himself over the phone calls is ridiculous!

i can't see it that way I'm afraid

would Ross be amused if his mother had received a prank call from Brand saying he sh*gg*d Ross's teenage daughter?

doubtful

But she wasn't a teenager was she, at 23?

And Sachs knew Brand as a comedian, just as Ross would if it had been done to him.

I found it hilarious, still makes me laugh thinking about it. That's the way I joke around with my friends. Anyway, the bloke should have turned up to the interview, didn't even let them know now thats just rude.

Quite agree Steve, it is always a lot easier to "dish it out". I think they have seriously misjudged public opinion on this one, judging by the morning news. It just makes you wonder why we still pay a licence fee.

I really enjoy HIGNFY and think Hislop and Merton are both incredibly talented and funny, but remember that a lot of their gags point fun at political figures and celebrity. What they do isn't much different, just more mainstream, and therefore seemingly more acceptable.

Hmmm i seem to remember on one interview How JR got very shirty when it was mentioned about the age difference between him & his (Then ) almost child bride ??Give but can't take it ??

No sorry joke's that ridicule other people & there family members are NOT at all funny so I can't"Chill" at this, all it shows is the childish & complete lack of character by these two leeches.

It really Irks me that I am forced to contribute towards there upkeep through the BBC licence fee, if the "Treehugging" bosses at the beeb that I liken to failed social workers think this is our top talent then god help us!..............:wow:
