Just wondering what you guys think of it. I have the habit of leaving my Xenons always on, you reckon is a bad habit in terms of light life and consumption?

I have mine on all the time and I rather be more visible on the road than save a few pennies per year on the fuel bill :)

No real harm

Yes i suppose you will be wearing down the bulb life, but better than flicking them on/off all the time which harms the ballasts. Much more expensive to replace ballasts than it is to replace bulbs

Quite a lot as our Alfas have D1S bulbs which include ballasts.
I got my Osram 5000k replacement set for about 200 euro but you can get OEM Philips 4200k bulbs for ~40 euro and even cheaper if you want to go for some chinese bulbs in the 6000k range.
But really... they don't wear down that fast, they last for years nomatter how often you switch them on/off :)
