Just found something..... but the date is january 2007:rolleyes:

Until JDPower’s next UK ranking, it is too early to tell whether Alfa will manage to turn round its brand image. Customer feedback so far has been mixed. While Mr Hudson recognises some change in the service, Michael Harrington, an electrical engineer in Cardiff and 156 owner, complains about the brand’s paring back of its dealer network.

Mr Nicoll says Alfa is in talks to have a new Cardiff dealership operational by March. For now, Mr Harrington, a patient Alfa owner, is giving the brand the benefit of the doubt.

lets hope they're better than Victoria Park Motors, they were rubbish.

Booked my 33 in for a service and they wouldn't give me a courtesy car as I hadn't bought the car from them(!). When I collected the car, they said they didn't have the correct boxer oil filter so they put a Fiat Seicento one on instead (they knew my car was booked in so there's no excuse for not having the correct one). It might have fitted ok but it certainly wasn't the correct pressure rating.

They very cleverly noticed I had a broken headlamp though....

I'd stick with my local garage for servicing anyway, top job. The guy that owns the garage drives a 166.

LC Motors serviced mine from new (previous owner). Hate to think how much they charged !!

Look on the bright side, if there's no dealers, Alfa will remain a niche car in this area.

Guess I will not be using them then as they sound a complete rip off - Swindon or Glocs here I come.

There are quite a few 147 / 156 abount near me - only 2 Breras / 2 or 3 159's and only my spider (new shape) quite a few of the older model running around though.

It is nice to have the only spider around - my Elise was the only one around but now there are quite a few around now.

Firstly thank you all for your comments and feedback

I have to say that it was LC that gave me the information originally posted.

I have had my first service and one minor fault corrected under warranty by LC and have found them to be quite good however courtesy cars are in short supply...

No problem with going back to them.. The y told me that this dealership in Cardiff was going ahead and that they are supposed to be on the look out for good engineers that know their stuff to make it the flagship Dealer in S. Wales.

I hope they take this seriously as I think the Alfa brand could do with some brownie points in s. Wales by the sounds of things
