Brackla 22 v Kenfig Hill 34

Morgan’s try a ‘What Happened Next’ moment - Bridgend & Maesteg - Grassroots - Sports - WalesOnline

Extract from article : The Mules scored one further try albeit in rather bizarre circumstances.

Centre Alex Pearce cut through the Brackla defence and dived over the try line unopposed, walked back to hand the ball to outside half Lewis Morgan for the conversion at which point the referee informed Pearce that he hadn’t grounded the ball.

Morgan then sprinted over the line to claim the try himself.

A definite candidate for “What Happens Next?”

 Where'd they get this ref from ?

Was that you?
Yep, he slid over the line unopposed, with the ball in his arms, but at no point did it touch the floor. Big cheer went up and he triumphantly walked back with the ball......the team then wondered why there was no whistle

A strong case of schoolboy errors then. Play to the whistle you dummies!

He had it cradled in his arm and he sort of sat on the floor, I thought he'd get up and go under the posts.
