12-time Isle of Man TT winner Bruce Anstey will miss the 2018 season with his partner revealing he is currently battling cancer.
The 48-year-old is expected to be out of the entire 2018 road racing campaign as his recovery process begins but partner Annie Ramsey has refused to rule him out of competing.

Unfortunately, Brucey has become ill. He has multiple tumours in his lungs, a tumour on his spine and a blood clot on the lung just to kick him while he’s down, Annie wrote on her Facebook page. “I doubt very much Bruce will see any racing this year but we won’t rule that out!".

Dean Harrison a touch unlucky today but MD there ready to pounce. I think he'll have a good week.

As an aside, can anyone explain the presence of Jody Kidd in place of the old crew?

Great result for Michael Dunlop alright, looks like he was slowly closing the gap anyway though. Nice to see Conor Cummins on the podium.

Harrison was unlucky but the TT is a real test of equipment, he had some pace early on !

A different TV production company are doing the coverage this year, hence the change of presenters.

Peter Hickman takes the Supersport win from Dunlop & Harrison, epic battle between the top 3, Hickman on a serious mission after an overshoot on lap 1 which lost him 10+ seconds.

Another lap record which was only 0.03 seconds outside the Superbike record !

Dean Harrison takes the second Supersport race win from Hickman & Hillier.

Dunlop gets a 30 second penalty for speeding in the pits, 60.2 in a 60, tough luck for such a small excess, if it wasn't for that he'd have been in second place, Harrison had him beat anyway though in this race.

Michael Dunlop wins the Lightweight from McGee & Rutter, another race record for Dunlop.

That's three wins for Dunlop so far this week taking him to a total of 18 TT wins, hopefully he can add the Senior TT win tomorrow to make it 19.
