I thought the rev and speedo were back lit by LED's:confused: Did a search and can't find anything regarding bulbs failing on them either. The GTA's revcounter has lost a bulb at the bottom making it dim. I'm going to strip but wanted to check this before I do to see if I need to order an LED.

From memory I do not think so - the rev counter is easily taken out - one screw (at the top) will release the souround then two screws hold the rev counter in place (drop the steering column down as this makes it easier) release the two multi plugs and it is out - you can then see the bulbs on the back. I took mine to a local dealer to ensure that I got the correct ones.

It would be worth changing them all because one of the others is bound to go soon.

The bottom half of the rev counter on my facelift 1.9 JTD isn't lit up any more. Is this the bulb I need to replace it?
Halfords linky

Or better value for money Ebay link.

Yep they are the ones. You need to carefully extract the old bulb out of it's holder without smashing it as they do get jammed in there. The holder itself twists onto the circuitboard :) Should take you 10/15 mins max :)

Mine are 2 watt, yours are 1.2 watt from what I can see. I put the 2 watt ones in my dash and it all matched in brightness with the others so I guess 2 watt is the way to go.... Even if they didn't match with 10 you have enough to do the others
