My 147 has the standard Bose setup but no CD changer. How simple is it to retrofit one - is the wiring likely to be there or will I need to run it all the way from the head unit?

Also, what changer would I need to get if I were to fit one?

You will need the Blaupunkt CDC A08 10 disc CD changer. There are a few on ebay.
When I bought my 147 it had the cd changer removed but all the wiring (cable with a round plug) was in place on the right hand side in the boot so for me it was just a matter of plug-and-play after I found one on ebay. You have to check if you have a cable in situ.
