A few other parameters need to be in place for stop/start to work remember. Battery needs to be at 80% charge or more, car needs to be warmed up, rear heated screen off, air con not at full blast etc etc etc.
If all is right in those respects then get it booked in to the dealer mate. 2 minutes on the diagnostic should flag up any faults :cool:

Yeah I think thats the safest option, its all a bit esoteric for a simpleton like me, cheers everybody:confused:

And today it works, thanks for the advice, DinoMito, I owe you a drink if our paths ever cross:thumbs:

other things about start &stop:
* - won't restart if you have opened the driver's door
* - appears to know if there is weight in the driver seat (won't re-start if no driver?)

I wonder if anyone has the entire 'flowchart' of things it takes into account?
