Since moving down here, I've noticed
I seem to replace wiper blades more than
when I was back in the UK.

Must be down to the hot weather, sand ladened
rain and weekends up in the mountains skiiing.

So how often does everyone replace their wipers?

Have never consciously recorded the frequency I replace them, but admit I do sometimes hold on to 'em longer than I should:eek: (stereotypical tight-fisted Scot!):lol:

Reckon its just under the two year mark for me, but then I do use rainex regularly, which does help compensate for the crappy blades! :D

Also depends on the brand i.e. Bosch or cheap a.n.other brand!

Only changed mine once on the 147 as it's only been with me 8 months or so.

Extremes of weather used to affect my wipers on the last car i.e. frozen to the windscreen causing them to degrade more quickly or sometimes when the weather was particularly hot.

Since I made the switch to 'Aero' blades (I converted the Leon to Golf wipers) I've noticed that they don't last as long as conventional blades !! :( (I only ever buy Bosch blades too !! :( )

I change them when they need it :D

In the case of the MG, I've only changed them once in the 21 years I've owned it (and that was because I bought chrome wiper blades)

The GTV I haven't had to do yet, and I've had that just over a year now.

The 33 I've done a couple of times in 12 years.

Tarquini is on his second set in 5 years.. they're genuine part refills and still good for another year, I reckon... so every 3 years.

As soon as they start juddering,squeaking and screeching across the windscreen;
Or generally leaving more water on the windscreen than has actually fallen from the sky...

There wasn't an option for every 2weeks..:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
