Did anyone replace cabin air filter by itself ? When I was replacing cabin air filter last time air directioner that has to be removed was sticked to the plastic and I ended having damaged air directioner. I will most probably buy new one because I don't want to mess with zip tie but did anyone else had this problem ? Is there any trick for removing it or it happened to break just because it was sticked.

On Ford Focus which was one of my last cars this air directioners were all made from solid plastic. This material what they used is very very delicate to handle.

I asked the same question on FB and got this reply.
just a few screws under the drivers side pull the Plastic off ( don’t forget to disconnect the foot well lights. Simple connector ) and there’s a door flap that comes off and swap the filter. I’m not a mechanic and found it very easy. Seen a YouTube video from the states. They have to remove the whole glove box. So much handier for right hand cars. The Bosch replacement also has Instructions in the box
