Following a collision with a Pheasant which smashed my wing mirror glass and a bracket that held the glass in place I have ended up having to buy an entire new wing mirror. Despite my protests to Mangoletsi they claimed they did not know what the missing bracket was or how to replace it and Lucas were equally unhelpful despite being the manufacturers! So after getting a quote from Mangoletsi for £600 to replace and paint and fit another wing mirror I got a new one supplied and painted from Wing Mirror Man for £149.00 which I need to now fit. I have removed the triangular cap and I am faced with 2 x Hexagonal bolts which aren't a problem but the 3rd bolt is something I and two car spares places have never seen before. I can't get any tools to fit to remove it as its like a double edged slightly raised lip on each side and nothing seems to be able fit to release this fastener so that I can fit my new mirror. If anyone has any ideas what or how to get this mystery nut/bolt undone please let me know. Mangoletsi want me to go and let them fit it and claim to not know what the fitting is unless they look at it whilst fitting, I have checked the other mirror and its the same fitting too. Any help will be really appreciated.

Also need to replace a wing mirror

Hi,
Did you have any luck removing & replacing your wing mirror in the end? I've ordered a wing mirror from WingMirrorMan & its on route, but if I could fit it myself instead of paying £120 locally to have it done that would be idea.

Was the bolt issues resolved or did you have to take it to a garage?

Ta,
Andy:confused:
