Do I have to replace the head bolts when changing the head gasket on my 2,o TS engine?

Yes, they're stretch bolts and should be replaced every time they're undone.

Not true, old wives tale. Don't know anyone who has replaced them and know of know issues because they haven't either. Use the old ones.

It says to replace the bolts on the gasket set packaging as well, I think.

I had an engine rebuilt and yes the bolts were replaced, so now you know of at least 1
