Has anyone been successful in removing the boot liner, to me more precise the folding tyre cover? If so, how did you do it?

Just pull hard. It all comes out easily. Some of the trim you have to unscrew the cargo net fixing bolts.

Mine was out a couple of times as it got soaked because of a water leak. It just pulled out from the large plastic buttons at the rear of the wheel well if I remember correctly.
