Tried posting this in the GTA lounge, but no-one there can help, so I'll try here, as I'm sure they are the same as across the 156 range.

I need to remove the wiper stalk, as I suspect it has not been put back in correctly following recent replacement of the indicator stalk, which was faulty.

OK, so I have removed the airbag, steering wheel and everything else in the way....but can I get the housing off that holds the stalks in place....can I hell! Picture attached of the bit I mean.

I have removed the 4 screws and I can see there are little clips all the way round, and have got it over these, but still something is holding it secure.

Anyone help....? Here's hoping, before I have to take it to another garage to get sorted.

Thanks

Not sure what you think is wrong with your stalks.....they come all as one piece, AFAIK, so I don't see how one can have been fitted incorrectly......

Unfortunately my aged memory is failing me at the moment with regard to how to remove the unit.....sorry.

Hmmmm that would maybe explain the problem then. Just the indicator stalk was replaced, but it is a real pain to get the unit apart. Maybe the whole unit should have been changed instead. I'll check with dealer.

Thanks.

If anyone else knows how to get the whole unit off, I'd much appreciate it!
