Question...

If the remote central locking isn't working, does this mean the immobiliser isn't functioning either? Is there a transponder in the key for the immobiliser?

Nope, they're separate systems. The transponder is unpowered....I'm guessing it's energised by the code ecu's antenna.

Immobiliser chip is in the key and will not be affected by the c/l problem, pm chris http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/members/chris.html he fixes keys, did mine and returned it in 3 days :thumbs:
