I had a custom map but not done on a rolling road so not sure how that works. I think I paid about £150 and it was worth it. I also had the dpf/egr delete and now get over 50mpg rather than 40mpg before. Best I have seen was 56mpg from Scunthorpe down to Oxford and back all done at 70-80.

If I were you I'd check which gearbox you have before you go mad with custom mapping etc. There doesn't seem to be a clear build date for 159 2.0 JTDM's as to whether you have the F40 gearbox as fitted to the 2.4s or the c635 fitted to the Gulietta's. Given its a 2010 i think you could have either. Accepted wisdom is that the F40 is bullet proof and the sky's the limit as far as remaps are concerned. When I was considering a remap I asked around a few of the specialists and opinion was split regarding the c635. It's no doubt stronger than the old M32 box, but if you have this rather than the F40, you might be well advised to keep things sensible with a remap
