I bought a set of old GTV brembos a while back - any ideas how much it is to have it stripped, refurbished and powder coated? I have the relevant refurbishing parts but I can't get the screws which hold the 2 halves together which is why I think I need it professionally done.

Think I paid about £250 on an exchange basis to have mine removed / stripped / powder coated and refitted with new seals and fluid change.

why not call a couple of places for a quote?

Cheers

I just sanded mine and painted with hammerite, a quick fix as they were so faded and it looks really good, I have a bit of OCD when it comes to the car, so if I can live with it anyone can.

I will be getting a proper job done on them soon as the red is a bit lighter than the standard colour so I will be interested to hear of what you get done and how much

Personally I wouldnt bother with powder coating. DIY refurbishments is straightforward, with the hardest part being the removal of the allen screws holding the shims as they tend to rust. Just get one of these kits

Some of these decals:

some red caliper paint and some hi temp lacquer

The advantage of this instead of poder coating is that it is easy to touch them up once in a while
