Has anybody here used Red Dot (in London) for an EGR/DPF Removal and remap? If yes how good are they? How much BHP and torque did you get? How expensive are they?
Please any feedback will be helpfull as I am consedering in using them.

They did my remap on my Grande Punto Sporting, was very impressed with their service. They know what they're doing. Prices are reasonable too. Didn't know they were doing DPF removals now? Give 'em a call and see :)

They remapped my 2.2 and it's a corker. Charged £200 including discount for being a member of AO.

Don't know about them doing DPFectomys, but then mine is a petrol, so I wouldn't know. They share a workshop with Torque Exhausts, who would probably do the actual cutting off of the DPF. Their welding work is ok so you should be fine.

Depends if it's a bespoke map that they put on the car, if it's a custom map and needs to go on and off the rolling road I would think 1/2 a day

I believe the way they do it is to upload a generic map (one they have already developed with previous cars) then if the customer requires any adjustments, the map is tweaked and then reloaded to the car. All of this is done on a rolling road so you can see the effects it's having :)

Generally speaking, Red Dot do bespoke maps for each car, but as Adam says they may well start with a map they developed for a previous 2.4 and then tweak it for your car. All their mapping is checked on the dyno between tweaks, so your car tends to have several runs on the dyno, which is fun to watch

Generally they look at the exhaust and power readings after each version of the map to see how the engine is running and whether anything can be optimised...

On the other hand when they do big discount days like our AO days, I think they just put on pre-developed maps for the same engine version. This is almost as good.
