I have just had my GTA wheels refurbished and can highly recommend this company, I had the wheels repainted in anthracite and they look the t_ts. Cost £227 for 4 , only drawback was I had to go to Birmingham for my nearest centre but they have other centres opening around the country, see their webiste.

I phoned the guy at Fareham he seemed a nice guy and seemed to know his stuff I just havn't got round to booking the car in tbh, but may have to do something soon about the passenger side wheels. I've had friends use the Fareham one with high end cars and they always have good things to say.

Car looks nice.

Sometimes I think I want black wheels and black mirrors on mine, then I tell myself to leave it alone as it's already beautiful.

Thanks for the heads-up on the refurb company. My g/f's GT wheels need doing so I'll probably get them done at their Manchester branch

GTLeigh looked at using these but got a smart repair done instead. At the rate the wheels on my Ti are getting stone chipped, I may well use these for an anthracite or black chrome refurb on the wheels at some point between now & the summer:cool:

 Now I'm not so sure! ....Might just try A1 in Wolverhampton again: they did a really good job on a set of 16" selespeeds I had a couple of years back.:)

Wheel Speciliast in Fareham did my wheels last Firday **will upload pics soon** - extremely happy with the result and colour match. Extremely professional and had a number of top line cars having wheels refurbed.

A bit like custom exhaust places, I think it depends on how dedicated the staff are rather than the products used and one bad operator in the franchise doesn't mean they are all bad.

Had mine done at A1 Wheel refurbishment in Wolverhampton and they've done a blindingly good job on them. Originally had a quote from laptab ('The Wheel Specialists') but they were quite aggressive in their marketing: three consecutive e-mails offering increasingly bigger discounts, but extra for this that and the other made me a bit suspicious, especially after the quotes above. Anyway used A1, just had them powder coated: took 2 days, had a set of loan wheels on my car for the duration so I was still mobile (GTV wheels don't suit a 147, scabby but good tyres) went back the next day all done and dusted. While I was there they had a Porsche 911 in there and there was a single F430 wheel and Guillardo wheel being fixed. They were telling me about a Golf GTI driver who had a red pinstripe round the rim to match the grill....(there was me thinking Ducatti Corse) but they will do whatever you want, powder coating, wet coat the lot. They only do wheels and have been doing them for years. Every time I get my wheels fixed there I only come away impressed. I'll put some pics up in a bit:)

Hadn't heard of them to be honest. I only looked for local firms to me so as to be as convenient as possible. I have posted the pix of my wheels (eventually) in the member gallery.

Hi these guys (The wheel specialist) have opened in nottingham and are offering 20% off as a special opening offer so that brings a set of 156 GTA teledials to £206.80 including VAT if the rims have tyres removed, fella i spoke to on the phone seemed to want to do business. Really want to splash out as they are quite close but not sure on colour for a metallic black 156 GTA, any ideas? Charcoal / Anthracite?? Any links to any gallery pics would be really appreciated? I lost the will to live searching the gallery.........

Ooh, for black, I think I would keep 'em silver.

I might use them myself. Cheers for the info
