Can anybody recommend an Alfa specialist repairer that they have used (and liked) in North London preferred areas are:

Swiss Cottage
Finchley Road
West Hampstead
Hampstead
Highgate
Muswell Hill
Southgate
Finchley
Kentish Town

I know about Desira in Southgate and people seem to say they are mostly alright but I'd rather not pay dealer hourly rates if possible and I'd rather go to an alfa specialist than just any garage.

I know about Autodelta being in Acton but thats too far west for me really.

Thanks in advance,
Tenk

AlfaRama in Stanmore are also very good.

Alfarama

Don't be put off by the website.. Ramesh knows his way around Alfas.

K & L Sound a good bet a little closer to me than Stanmore so I'll give them a try.

Thanks

I would also recommend Alfarama, seem to have the parts main dealers don't.
They also seem to have all the diagnostic equipment like the examiner machines that main dealers have. Again, i would recomend Alfarama

I would not recommend Veloces, I've bought 2 cars from them although they let me down in big way with servicing. First of all when they did 36k service they haven't replace brake fluid which I believe is a standard procedure on this service, and even more annoying when they change the tyres in car they haven't change the valves (which cost 10p each I would imagine) but cost me a £400 to have the it sorted shortly after when I've set off for my trip to Europe !

So strongly not recommended by me

I've used VELOCES for many years for both of my Alfas & Fiat, have always got a good service/repairs from them and they've ALWAYS gone out of their way to help me in my hours of need.

Can someone update on this please. I know Phil at Alfacraft but am looking for servicing (cam belts and some diagnostics ) and a little detailing for my GTV. Was thinking alfaworks or autolusso.
What do people think?

I used one on your list for a few years but wouldn't go back.

Not right to badmouth places openly however.

Veloces are likely expensive as are the cars they sell. Too rich for me!!

I use Auto Alfa in Basildon, they used to be in East London. Maybe a bit far but always had good service from them.

I settled on Alfa Works for the belts and as she was new to me, I got them to give her a good check over. I got a good little report back (not an MOT) which included one or two advisory's.
My impression was they are efficient and thorough. On picking car up, they even gave me a small refund as they had double charged me for a part.
I would recommend them.
