also apart from the drop link, and 19mm bolt and the top 22mm bolt is there anything else as it looks like it is secured below the 19mm bolt at the bottom of the hub too

These bolts can be very difficult to move, particularly the long bottom one - no real answer apart from soaking them in WD40 or Plus-gas, scraping clean the bolt shank where it passes between the webs of the upright, and the applying "gentle" persuasion with a ****ing big hammer. Not unusual to have to replace the bottom bolt as it gets distorted. If you are trying to remove the complete upright rather than just the strut, you have to remove the bolt that goes through the trailing arm, too - not normally a problem, this one.....

its just the tools letting u down.... soak in rost off.... impact wrench... done.

In my experience getting the nuts off is no problem - its getting the bolts to move out of the upright that is the issue - particularly the bottom one. If Alfa in their wisdom had put a proper bolt head on it instead of 2 flats, you could get a socket on and get it rotating to free it off - as it is its a PITA.

yeah managed to rotate and get the top ones out fairly easily but the bottom ones definatly a PITA must have spent 3 hours just getting them out turn scrub the bolt repeat smack with a hammer LOL at least i didnt break anything and could re-use the bolts

the pinch bolt with a female torx on one end and the flat nut thingy on the other....

cut it out.... new 3 quid.

"with a female torx on one end ":rolleyes::rolleyes:?

Don't know what you are thinking of but it isn't a 156 rear suspension.......cutting the bolt is useless if it isn't moving as its still seized holding the strut to the upright......

Maybe its different on the other side of the world:lol:
