Interesting, one of my parcel shelf speakers is popping I take it I need to remove this same parcel shelf to get to them?

Also what’s the best thing to colour the now grey speaker covers back to black?

Might as well do that job while I’m in there.

You can get to the speaker from the boot (aka trunk where I live).

To remove the rear speakers, just pop off the cover with gentle leverage and that will expose the actual speaker which is held in by 4 screws.

Take the cloth off and it will reveal lovely black plastic underneath. Won't fade in the sun either. I replaced mine with brand new and after 6 weeks of sun they started to fade.... Alternatively they will eventually fade to quite a nice cream colour which looks quite cool....

I used a black fabric spray dye, really easy and came out nice and blac, has lasted well too!
I used some normal black spray paint. Seems to have done the trick. I have also recovered them with speaker cloth but that faded as well.

Remove the faded nylon mesh, buy black tights, cut down to size and stretch over the plastic covers!
