hi guys need some info if you can help

my car is lusso 2L 2010

my drivers rear light stays on when i lock/unlock the car, it can stay on for up to twenty minuets then goes off, sometimes it goes off quicker?? any ideas
I have tried searching but can only find a fault where the rear lit dim and stays on always

Poor earth connection can cause very weird issues with lights.
(on my 156 I had the brake lights staying on whenever I indicated left..., it was a loose earth connection below the left rear light).
So check earth points first.
No idea where they are on a 159, but there will usually be a point close to the rear light units.
