My rear demister was doing very little...but, after cleaning all the relays in front of the battery as part of my immobiliser investigations, it's working again!

Some of the pins were absolutely caked, so a quick rub with a file and a squirt of contact cleaner is the way forward.

If anyone's trying it, be careful not to get the relays mixed up. Some may be different to others. :thumbs:

Hmmm - my wife's 147 has a rubbish rear demister, it is the only thing that doesn't work. Maybe I should check for green furry relays!

It wasn't the usual green fur it the pins were caked in... It was kind of a hard browny coating, or that's how it looked by torchlight anyway!

where are the demister relays, there not the ones in front of the battery?
