Nope, that's about it, other than unhooking the shoe springs and removing the pins/centering springs - Allen key required, push them down then turn 90 degrees and they pop out...
If you mean the sheet metal plates that shield the disk then they are clamped between the hub and the axle tube...pretty sure half shaft will need to be removed. Sure someone will be along soon to confirm one way or the other!Thanks.... I wasn't sure if you had to touch the dreaded rear wheel bearings?
Ah, my mistake, if its the dust shields, then yes I think half shafts have to come out.
I was thinking you meant the brake shoes....
