Yesterday I almost finished putting back together my GT 3.2. During the dismantle I had great difficulty with the rear bank manifold as the heatsheild prevented you from getting any tools on.
Putting it back together I left the sheild off and had a much easier time getting the manifold back on. I thought I could just stuff the heatsheild down the back but no. It is impossible to remove or replace the heatsheild with the engine/subframe in situ!
I gave up and bought a roll of heatwrap to wrap the manicat in instead. If I ever have to replace the rear bank lambda it should make the job a lot easier.
