I think he certainly know how to make fire. If I remember correctly he's also very good at judo - so just in case he ever comes across this site you'd better be nice about him - or you might end up with a blow dart in your botty!!!:D :D :D

I think he's okay. If one was ever marooned on a desert Island he'd be a useful chap to have about ;) Having said that, I wasn't too impressed when he went dear hunting :tut:

I think he's in the Attenborough league in terms
of the enthusiasm he has. Also his attitude
and respect for indigenous peoples.

The hunting doesn't worry me one bit.
Kills it, eats it, treats everything with respect.

He actually runs courses/learning expeditions, so I understand.

Thanks Kev.

This man's a little hyped isn't he...
from the website said:
igesting every scrap of information relating to survival that he could find in his local library, he soon began to re-learn skills that had not been employed on the North Downs for perhaps as long as ten thousand years

BF, you need to see a few of his programmes
to see it's not hype.

He's a very knowledgeable chap and not
at all-in-your-face.

Did a really great 3 part series on the Telemark
Heroes during the war in Norway.

I think he actually trains the armed forces - I'm sure I watched a programme once where he was training aircrew.

Yeah, he's way too young and way too "nice" to
be anything but a non-military trainer.
